"Stylish and Edgy Luxury "
Overall Score4.5/ 5
Clift is a stunning and edgy hotel in the theater district of San Francisco. This property features striking pieces of furniture as art, such as their horn-rimmed throne and their over-sized cushioned chair, both found in the lobby. The rooms are spacious and artistically sparse, with soft elements such as pastel coloring and closet doors made of out curtains. Their sultry bar/lounge is a popular hot spot of the area, and is often packed early even during the week. This is a great hotel to host an event in - Besides their standard meeting spaces, the hotel is able to open a sliding door between their bar and restaurant, creating one large space, which makes for a great and edgy venue. This is a truly beautiful property. Families be warned, however, the property lies directly adjacent to the not-so-nice Tenderloin district, so this is not the best hotel to arbitrarily wander away from at night unless you know where you are going.
