There could not be a handier location to stay when going for medical help at Mayo! The staff is outstanding in helpfulness and friendliness! The Valet service is so great! The Gran Essex is wonderful and love the Old Country feel!

It is so convenient to stay the night before near Mayo Clinic to avoid the stress of parking and arriving for early morning tests and appointments; you can just walk over in the "subway" and you don't need to bring your coat! The Kahler staff is very familiar with guests and their medical needs, they are welcoming and reassuring. We come back to Mayo periodically and Kahler is a comfortable and familiar place to stay!

If you're at the Kahler Grand, it's most likely because you're at Mayo Clinic. So while the reason for the stay is trying, this hotel is simply THE BEST. Outstanding customer service. Everyone (all hotel staff, cleaning crew, restaurant and bar staff) is so calm, professional, warm, friendly and nice. When you've had a day at the Mayo, it's nice to come "home" to Kahler where it really does feel like your home away from home. Great hotel, awesome restaurants with great food and service, SUPER clean rooms, one of the most comfortable beds. Thank you for providing excellence and warmth for so many.

I really enjoyed my stay, I have no complaints. Excellent service from the front desk. A special shoutout to the waitress at Lord Essex restaurant, she was the server and also cooked our meal (Saturday, September 27, 2025). Hopefully, her boss knows what a great worker she is.

The sink in the bathroom was clogged, my son fixed it and was pretty much told oh well we have people that do that. would they have taken the pipe apart and gotten the 12 inches of hair and etc out of the pipe? not even a thank you for doing that or grateful. credit of my bill would have been nice or a meal. so with that this week I have booked with a different hotel. I'm sure you won't care either way. that's too bad, not many people would have done what my son did for you. Sandi Bird.

They are always making sure the guests are given their full attention from the valet vehicle service to the rooms fresh and well kept. The in house restaurants also has good food and good consistency with both. Prices are good and it makes the medical stay at Mayo's Clinic very good one.

This hotel is literally steps from the Eisenberg Building/Hospital. While my room was small, it was clean and comfortable; the bed was really good. I loved that the hotel environment was lively and cheerful. In addition to Mayo related patrons, there were families of kids participating in various sports tournaments. I enjoyed my cocktail and shrimp happy hour break at the bar of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse located in the lobby. All in all, a good choice I'd stay there again.
