After a long week of getting my daughter settled in her new apartment, I looked for a place to stay for the evening and the first place that came up in my search was Lumeria Maui Educational Retreat Center. I drove over to take a peak at the property before booking and I was more than blown away. This property is everything described and more. I cannot rave enough what a special place this is. The care I received upon check in was unexplainable. The room was lovely, the property was magical and the food and food service was out of this world. I'll be back!

Lumeria Maui is a restored historic plantation estate on the North Shore of Maui. Off the beaten path but convenient to the airport and Maui's infamous beaches and surf breaks, our educational wellness retreat is designed to support individuals to connect with nature and indulge in daily classes and programs in health and wellness, yoga, meditation, nutrition, personal growth, fitness, sports and cultural experiences. Our private gated sanctuary is also the perfect location for group retreats; our safe and tranquil environment supports retreat leaders in facilitating profound, fun and inspiring journeys for retreat participants.Located about 20 minutes west of the airport (OGG), just outside of Paia, on the wet side of the island, a 40-minute drive to desert-dry Makena, this hotel was inevitable. Hidden in the midst of beautifully landscaped tropical grounds with a dedicated meditation garden and lawns dedicated to yoga sessions, Lumeria Maui Retreat simmers down Grand Wailea's overly rich sauce to create a petite yet pungent essence of what today's savvy holistic travelers seek.
