Two new EcoGreen Hilton hotels are now open in Lake Buena Vista/Orlando in July-09. “The Midtown Hiltons Lake Buena Vista” is a unique co-branded project partnering Hilton Garden Inn-LBV and Homewood Suites by Hilton®-LBV, Hilton’s upscale extended stay brand, into a single resort-style destination. Resource conservation has been the overall objective for this Green Lodging Partner project. Conservation design efforts strategically positioned the hotels for ideal access to a shared Caribbean sytle pool/spa, fitness center, video game room and sports court; with an East/West positioning for maximum sun exposure. Located just one mile from Downtown Disney, and the entrance to Sea World, the properties offer easy access to the spectacular theme parks, unique restaurants, abundant shops, and exciting entertainment that have made this region one of the world’s most popular destinations.These two seven-story Mediterranean style hotels with 267 units were designed with high-tech features to ensure corporate & leisure travelers the most modern of conveniences. “The Midtown Hiltons Lake Buena Vista” is owned and managed by Kalson’s Hospitality, Inc. of Orlando, FL. The project evolved from the developer’s desire to promote a GreenHotellier program; it became clear that creating an EcoGreen hotel complex with a sustainable hotel strategy would be a positive impact for guests and the environment. The developer’s international travels experiences led them to the popular trend abroad of EcoTourism, whereby hotels partner with the environment to bring about a more ecco-centric lodging experience. Both Hiltons employ and promote an enviromentally safe design, construction and operating standards to reduce waste and damaging impact to the enviroment.The 130 all-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton®-LBV property features (102) two-room suites (separate living and sleeping areas) and (7) two-bedroom suites (two separate bedrooms & bathrooms and separate living area); and (21) studio suites. All suites have a fully-equipped kitchen, full sized refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, two phones with data ports, and complimentary high speed internet access. High-tech, modern designed guest suites with (2) 32’ Plasma HDTVs & DVD players and 30 HD television channels in every room afford the very best of in-room entertainment.
