Makai Beach lodge is a 110 room, 4 story, oceanfront hotel with comfortable rooms and a friendly staff. It features 65 ocean-front rooms with private balconies and half of the rooms contain full kitchens.On-site amenities include an 500 sq. ft. meeting room; ocean-front heated pool, hot tub, kiddie pool, a beach-front picnic area with barbecue grills, horseshoes, beach volley ball and shuffleboard. The Makai features free beach rentals: Guests are able to check out beach chairs, umbrellas, surf boards, boogie boards, pool noodles, pool floats, skim boards, sand toys and other fun beach toys like frizz bees and footballs. Brand new bicycles added to our amenities.There are over 25 restaurants within 1 mile of the Makai, and many are within easy walking distance. 3 shopping centers and a host of gift shops, grocery stores and other retail stores are also located within a mile of the hotel. Daytona Beach International Airport is approximately 8 miles(20 minutes) from the Makai Beach Lodge. Taxi services are readily available, and several car rental agencies are located at the airport. Additionally, we are just 65 miles (1hr 20 minutes) from the Orlando International Airport and 50 miles (1 hour) from the Orlando Sanford International Airport. Reservations can be made for shuttle services to bring you to the Makai or guests can rent a car at either airport.
