My family and I had two spectacular connecting rooms with balconies overlooking the bay. This final leg of our California visit was thanks to Julyda who made us ALL very, very pleased with her kindness and efforts. She is an exceptional first point of contact at the Wyndam Bayside. We were so lucky to have had her service us. If we ever have the opportunity to return to San Diego, I will most definitely be staying at the Wyndam Bayside!

My stay was a disaster from start to finish. I initially requested a room with a bath tub and was assign to room 426. However that changed when I was offered an upgrade. I asked the manager if the room had a bathtub and his reply was yes. I waited an hour for the upgrade to be cleaned. But when I arrived and inspected the room, there was no tub. I could not have imagined what the upgrades were. Colorless, unappealing room decor and noticeably cold. No microwave and lousy TV channels. And the first time I have stayed in a room where the closet was in the bathroom. I later asked the manager, the same one who lied about the upgrade having a bathtub, as to why the room did not have a microwave. He replied that it cost ten dollars a day to rent and for airline flight crews at no charge. Lastly upon checkout I asked if I qualified for senior discounts and was told no. Because I alledgedly booked the room through a third party using the Wyndham Hotel website. Then I asked if the hotel provided rides to the Santa Fe Train station three blocks away from its location. The person at the desk said no, only to the airport. I walked out of the Wyndham for the last time. After being a guest there four times.
