Quickest trip I have ever taken! My purpose was to see the Wizard of Oz at the Sphere! I had a great host checking me in at The Horseshoe ! I had a great doorman pointing to taxi! The lobby was full of opportunities to see local places. I took advantage of the hip hop buses. Loved riding and seeing the town. But smiles from staff was so appreciated! My clean room daily made me feel pampered! Thank you staff from making reservations to checking out and getting a taxi! You made my special birthday trip a happy one! I checked in a day early but had to get a suite. That extra day cost a few dollars less than my 8 night stay. Snacks were very expensive. A bottle water cost $5 and one banana cost $5 also. Only two of 8 elevators were working. However, the staff were very courteous and did an excellent job.

This is not a hotel that knows the word ‘hospitality’. The check in staff were very rude. They were annoyed that we were bothering them by not checking in at the kiosk. They seem offended that we were deserving their small group conversation. Not one of them knew where the bathrooms were nor how to find the elevators. As expected, the casino is noisy and full of smoke. But I do not recall the rancid smell of nicotine oil ground into the carpets from other casinos. Do you ever wash your rugs? The refrigerator in our room was turned off. Ice was nowhere to be found. There was no coffee machine in the room. A call to the front desk and housekeeping did not help. Your famous pool keeps very short hours. We paid for it, but could not use it. On previous trips I have stayed at Mandalay Bay, The Whyn, MGM and Motel 6. I rank The Horseshoe well below Motel Six.

Running late to catch a cab and get to the airport, the LAST thing you expect is a 40 minute wait for available elevators. My room was on the 20th floor, so too high to hoof it down! Probably a deal breaker from ever returning to the Horseshoe. People are friendly, staff and services are all great; but fix the elevators please and make sure they are all running during check in and check out periods.
