"Spacious, luxurious hotel located ON Union Square"

The Westin St. Francis is San Francisco's only hotel located directly on Union Square, so the location is excellent, with great views from the majority of the sleeping rooms. This hotel is very typical of the Westin brand - straightforward luxury, clean lines, spacious rooms, and anything a group could need. The hotel has a very 'grand' feel (huge property, high ceilings, marble pillars, several bars/restaurants, and a small shopping area within). I am inclined to encourage groups to book this hotel for a business meeting or serious gathering, rather than a party or social event, but I really don't think there is such thing as a "bad" group match for this property. You really can't go wrong with them. They are very understated in style (nothing too crazy) but distinctive in their attention to detail and service.

"Absolutely Wonderful Time."

Clean and spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The receptionist, Asusanna, was very professional, competent and courteous. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning. My husband and I took our kids and grandchildren to My Fair Lady at the SF Playhouse. When the play was over, we crossed the street and went into the St. Francis Hotel, to our room and went to sleep. Incredibly great location!

The staff is absolutely wonderful. Jeffrey, at concierge, is most welcoming and was absolutely wonderful in assisting us with our stay! We love staying here as the staff is great and the room and stay were most wonderful!
