The village of Montchanin, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, lies mid-way between Washington DC and New York, in historic Brandywine Valley. Once part of Winterthur, Montchanin gets its namefrom the grandmother of the founder of the DuPont Company.The Inn is a collection of 11 carefully restored 18th and 19th century buildings on 6 acres with each of the 28 immaculate rooms and suites furnished with period furniture, Frette linens and marble baths. Mostrooms have beautifully manicured private courtyards and several have cosy fireplaces.Enjoy a walk down Privy Lane to savour the gardens and uniqueness of this historic property before indulging in a luxurious massage at the wonderful new spa.
