My daughter and I stayed one night at Hotel Wayne. The place was so charming. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and only updated to include TV A/C and a phone (mounted on the wall!) No electronic card either, I was given a real room key. LOL. It was within walking distance from great shops and eateries. Staff was nice and helpful. As for the ghosts, come stay and draw your own conclusions.

The employees were very pleasant, check in and check out was a breeze. The bar and restaurant was nice and service was great. The hotel was clean.

"What you would expect from a vintage building."

The hotel is clean, the staff gracious but don't expect any modern amenities such as an elevator, ice machines or even a hairdryer. The plumbing needs improvement. The sink only trickled cold water making it hard to equalize it with the hot to get warm water. The shower seems subject to others using theirs which caused the water to turn scalding on me several times when I showered. The food was very good for dinner there, but their Café for breakfast is located 1.5 miles away which was not very convenient. All in all, not a bad experience but please be aware that old charm (which the Wayne certainly has) has some minor shortcomings.
