We were unaware of construction at hotel. Should have been informed, offered discounted rate. No lobby coffee or food. Half lights in our room didnt work. Lots of dog poop in grassy areas around the hotel. Friendly staff despite difficult their working conditions. Guests should be offered a discounted rate during construction.

"In the midst of a renovation and still made me comfortable."

It took a bit to find the temporary lobby, but it could have been due to the fact that I was exhausted, it was late and my patience was shot. I called the front dest and the front desk personnel was kind and explained in detail how to find the lobby. I completely drove past the signage multiple times. The room was nicer that I expected. The bed was super comfortable. And the efficiently kitchen was perfect. Would highly recommend the Holiday Inn and Suites Santa Maria by IHG.
